A SPIRITUAL SPACE
This conceptual work asks us to think about places and spaces where we can find a moment of serenity and connection to ourselves. “The Labyrinth’s Waiting Room” provides visitors with an opportunity to walk a labyrinth in the outdoor space and/or take a seat inside. The outdoor space takes cues from Japanese gardening. The inside space is inspired by a waiting area in the renovated Moynihan Train Hall. Visitors are encouraged to think about waiting not as an uncomfortable in-between state, but rather as the point. In the silence, a clock reminding us that time will never wait, we can find a moment of pause.
